I promote the use of integrated pest management in global agro-ecosystems through my research on plant-insect interactions and applied entomology teaching at Harper Adams University. Beyond teaching and research, I actively contribute to the sector through leadership roles in the Royal Entomological Society and Association of Applied Biologists. I also engage with industry and policymakers to implement practical, sustainable solutions for agricultural professionals in a rapidly changing world.
My research focuses on understanding plant-insect interactions and using this knowledge to develop sustainable approaches to pest management in agricultural systems. There are currently three primary areas of interest in my research portfolio:
My teaching bridges theory and practice in integrated pest management and entomology. This approach aims to equip students with the practical skills and knowledge necessary for success in real-world agricultural settings through problem-based learning and industry collaborations.
